Pastor Tim

Pastor Tim

Tim has been married to his wife Kathy for 38 years. They have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren. When they can, Tim and Kathy enjoy God’s beautiful creation by visiting parks, nature trails, and lakes/creeks.

Tim earned his bachelor's degree from the Baptist College of Florida (now Baptist University of Florida), and a master's degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is presently pursuing a D.Ed.Min. in Biblical Exposition.

Tim has been pastoring for 27 years. He believes his primary call as pastor is to: Prayerfully Love, Lead, and Feed the Flock of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 21:15-17; I Peter 5:1-4). He believes a major part of that call is to shepherd the flock in the rich pastures of God's Word, verse-by-verse (expository preaching) through books of the Bible (Acts 20:26-27; 1 Thessalonians 5:27; Colossians 4:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:13).

Sadly, there are many unbiblical methods floating around concerning how to lead a congregation. Tim believes one key aspect for leading a local church is to be immersed in the Word of God. This will allow Christians to know God better, grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, as the Holy Spirit strengthens, equips, leads, and uses them (near and far) for the glory of God!

Tim knows the journey through life can be tough. His heart is for believers (as they gather together on Sundays for Worship and the proclamation of God's Word-Hebrews 10:25), to experience Encouragement in Christ, Comfort in Love, and the Fellowship of the Spirit (Philippians 2:1). Then, they scatter to live and share the gospel of Jesus Christ (in the power of the Holy Spirit). Christians can never understand the depth of all God is doing in and through His Church when they gather together on Sundays.
